Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway project nears 70% completion: Nitin Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has informed that the Delhi- Mumbai Express Highway design has been completed 70, he said while addressing the National Conference for Civil masterminds and Professionals from Allied diligence, organised by the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers( ACCE). The minister further added that this design will reduce the current travelling time from Delhi to Mumbai to just 12 hours.
Addressing the gathering, Gadkari said,” My dream is to take citizens from Nariman Point, Mumbai to Delhi in 12 hours 70 of the design is completed, and now we’ve decided to connect Nariman Point to Delhi- Mumbai Express Highway.” He further suggested that PPP( publicprivate cooperationsystem might be brought to use in order to connect Nariman Point to the trace.” We can do this by PPP mode,” Gadkari added.

The Delhi- Mumbai Expressway is one of the most promising trace systems accepted by the government recently. It’s designed to connect civic centres in the nation‘s capital via the Delhi- Faridabad- Sohna section of the corridor, as well as a spur to Jewar Airport and Jawaharlal Nehru Port, to Mumbai via a spur in Mumbai. In between will connect countries like Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra and will gauge around 1380 km. It’s being erected at a total cost of Rs,000 crores and is slated to be India’s longest trace. It’s listed to be open for public use byMid-2023.
